Panel fit and breaking capacity — what the ratings mean
The C-curve means it's designed for moderate inrush loads — typical for motor-starter, lighting, and general industrial circuits where the start-up surge is higher than a resistive load but not extreme. For DC circuits, it's rated 15 kA at 60 V (72 V max operating voltage), so it also works in DC sub-distribution or control power feeds.
Environmental and installation notes
Rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C, with humidity derating above 55 °C (95% RH at 55 °C, tapering to 35% at 75 °C) — so it's suitable for unheated enclosures in cold climates or warm cabinets near other heat sources.
Regulatory coverage
Dual-certified under IEC/EN 60898-1 (household-type MCB) and IEC/EN 60947-2 (industrial circuit-breaker standard), plus UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No. 235 for North American supplementary protection — the 5 kA UL/CSA rating is the applicable limit for those markets. Overvoltage category III (distribution-level) and energy limitation class 3 (current-limiting, fast arc extinction). Sealable terminals available for lockout/tagout compliance.
