Breaking capacity is 15 kA per EN 60898 and 25 kA per IEC 60947-2, with a DC breaking capacity of 15 kA per IEC 60947-2. For a 20 A circuit, that means magnetic trip between 100 A and 200 A.
Thermal derating and ambient limits
Rated current holds at 20 A up to 35 °C ambient. Above that, derate linearly: 18.54 A at 45 °C, 18.04 A at 50 °C, 17.5 A at 55 °C, and 16.96 A at 60 °C. This matters for sealed enclosures or high-ambient panels — a 20 A breaker in a 50 °C cabinet is effectively an 18 A device. The derating curve is published, so panel builders can size upstream protection accordingly.
Depth is 76 mm, width 54 mm (3 MW), height 90 mm. Installation depth is 70 mm.
Halogen-free and silicon-free construction, sealable for tamper-proofing. Energy limitation class 3. Touch protection is integrated on the terminals.
