The Siemens 5SY7332-7 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker (MCB) with three poles, a C tripping characteristic, and a rated breaking capacity of 15 kA per EN 60898-1 or 25 kA per IEC 60947-2. It is rated for 400 V AC (440 V max in multi-phase or single-phase operation) and 60 V DC (72 V DC max).
The 5SY7332-7 carries three distinct breaking capacity ratings depending on the standard applied: 15 kA under EN 60898-1 (the household / commercial standard), 25 kA under IEC 60947-2 (the industrial standard), and 5 kA under UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235. The DC rating of 15 kA at 60 V DC (per IEC 60947-2) covers battery-backed control circuits or DC bus protection. It is certified to IEC / EN 60898-1, IEC / EN 60947-2, and UL 1077. The terminals accept combined top and bottom wiring. Supply can come from either end.
Environmental range and materials
Operating temperature spans -40 °C to 75 °C, with humidity derating: 95% RH up to 55 °C, 55% RH up to 70 °C, 35% RH up to 75 °C. Energy limitation class 3 means this MCB limits the let-through energy (I²t) to a low level, reducing arc-flash hazard downstream and allowing smaller cable sizing in coordinated panels.
