The Siemens SENTRON 5SY7350-8CC is a 3-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 50 A at 400 V AC with a D tripping characteristic. The D curve means it tolerates high inrush currents — typically used for motor, transformer, or welding loads where the starting surge would nuisance-trip a B or C curve. The IEC 60947-2 breaking capacity is 15 kA, so it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level without upstream cascading. For UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235 supplementary protection applications, the interrupting rating is 5 kA.
Integration and Mounting
Snaps onto DIN rail via the quick assembly system — 3 width units (54 mm wide). Mounting position is any, so vertical or horizontal panel layouts work. The 76 mm depth and 70 mm installation depth fit standard distribution boards. Terminals accept solid or stranded conductors from 0.75 to 35 mm²; tightening torque is 2.5 to 3.5 N·m. Both top and bottom terminals are combined (line/load reversible), and the unit is sealable for tamper-evident installations.
