The D-curve means it tolerates short-duration surges up to 10–20 times rated current before tripping — exactly what a motor starting or a transformer energisation pulls. The part is magnetically only — no thermal bimetal — so it trips purely on overcurrent, not overload, which suits circuits where the load itself is thermally protected downstream.
Accepts solid or stranded conductors from 0.75 to 35 mm²; screw terminals with a tightening torque of 2.5 to 3.5 N·m. Combined terminal top and bottom means you can feed from either direction without flipping the breaker.
Touch protection is built in. The product designation follows DIN EN 61346-2 and DIN EN 81346-2 (function code F).
