The Siemens 5SY7413-8CC is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker — a 4-pole, D-curve device rated 13 A at 400 V AC, with a 25 kA breaking capacity per IEC 60947-2. It's built for industrial control panels, mechanical engineering, and distribution boards where you need a compact 4-module-wide (72 mm) breaker that can handle a 25 kA prospective fault current at the panel's incoming terminals.
The 13 A rated current combined with the D-curve is the headline: this breaker is sized for motor or transformer branch circuits where the starting surge exceeds the 5–10× inrush of a C-curve. Under UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No. 235, the rating drops to 5 kA, so if the panel carries a UL label, verify the available fault current at the breaker's line side stays under that. The 400 V AC rated voltage covers standard three-phase industrial supplies; the maximum DC rating is 72 V, so it's not a primary DC breaker for battery banks or 125 V DC control buses.
