Thermal derating — the real-world current limit
At 35 °C ambient the breaker carries its full 1 A. Above that, the bimetal strip heats up faster and the continuous current must be reduced: 0.95 A at 40 °C, 0.93 A at 45 °C, 0.9 A at 50 °C, 0.88 A at 55 °C, and 0.85 A at 60 °C. The surrounding humidity limits are also temperature-dependent: 95 % RH up to 55 °C, then 55 % RH to 70 °C, then 35 % RH to 75 °C. That matters for condensation in outdoor or washdown cabinets.
Compliance and approvals
Sealable terminals allow the installer to lock the cover after commissioning, which satisfies some site safety audit requirements. Protection class is IP20 with connected conductors, meaning finger-safe but not protected against water ingress.
