Integrator's spec note
The Siemens 5SY7663-7CC is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker (MCB) in a 4-pole 3P+N configuration, rated 63 A at 35 °C with a C tripping characteristic. The C-curve means it trips between 5 and 10 times rated current — standard for motor and transformer branch circuits where moderate inrush is expected. Breaking capacity is 20 kA per IEC 60947-2, so it can safely interrupt faults up to that level without upstream cascading. The 4-module-width (72 mm) body snaps onto a DIN rail via the quick assembly system; mounting position is unrestricted.
Thermal derating and ambient limits
The 63 A rating holds at 35 °C. At 40 °C the breaker must be derated to 59.54 A; at 45 °C to 57.71 A; at 50 °C to 55.82 A; at 55 °C to 53.86 A. Ambient operating range spans -40 °C to 75 °C, with humidity limits of 95% up to 55 °C, 55% up to 70 °C, and 35% at 75 °C. Pollution degree 3 (conductive pollution or dry non-conductive that becomes conductive) and overvoltage category III suit industrial panel environments.
