It's designed for branch-circuit protection in industrial control panels, mechanical engineering, and similar environments where moderate inrush currents from motor starters or transformers are expected. Rated breaking capacity is 50 kA at 400 V AC per IEC 60947-2, and 15 kA at 60 V DC. The DC rating of 15 kA at 60 V covers battery-backed control circuits or DC bus protection in the same panel. It also carries a UL 1077 listing at 5 kA, which is the supplementary protector rating for North American panels.
Mounting position is any, so you can lay it sideways in a shallow enclosure if needed. Depth is 76 mm, with 70 mm installation depth — that's the space behind the panel face you need to clear for wiring and the arc chamber. The breaker is sealable, which matters for applications where you need to lock out the toggle position after commissioning to prevent unauthorized reset.
This is an active-production part. Ambient temperature range is -40 °C to +75 °C, with derating above 55 °C: the breaker is rated for 95% humidity up to 55 °C, then 55% up to 70 °C, and 35% up to 75 °C. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6 covers ±1 mm at 5 to 25 Hz and 50 m/s² at 25 to 150 Hz, which is adequate for most machine-mounted panels but not for direct engine-mount without additional damping.
