It's a C-curve device, so it handles moderate inrush without nuisance tripping — think motor starters, small transformers, or banks of LED drivers on a conveyor line. The 30 kA interrupting rating at 400 V AC gives you headroom for high-fault panels; the DC side is rated 15 kA at 60 V, fine for control bus protection in the same cabinet. With IP20 once conductors are connected, it's for inside the enclosure — not out on the washdown floor.
The UL 1077 supplementary-protector rating at 5 kA is a different standard (lower fault current, typically used downstream of a branch-circuit OCPD), but having both means the same part passes inspection in Chicago or Frankfurt.
