Breaking capacity — the number that decides coordination
For DC circuits it carries 15 kA per the same standard. Under UL 1077 and CSA C22.2 No. 235 the rating is 5 kA — a different test protocol, not a derating; if the panel is built to North American supplementary-protector rules, that's the number the inspector checks.
Rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C, with a derating curve: at 50 °C the continuous current drops to 24.38 A, at 55 °C to 23.72 A. Humidity derating applies above 55 °C — max 95% RH up to 55 °C, then 55% RH at 70 °C, then 35% RH at 75 °C. Mounting position is unrestricted.

The 5SY8325-8 carries IEC 60947-2 and UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235 approvals. The product designation per IEC 81346-2 and DIN EN 61346-2 is F (protective device). Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6: ±1 mm at 5–25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25–150 Hz. Touch protection is integrated. The manufacturer provides RoHS and REACH declarations on request.
