It is a 2-pole device with 1P+N configuration, meaning it switches both the phase and the neutral conductor — the neutral pole is switched but not protected against overcurrent. The breaker carries a 40 kA rated short-circuit capacity at 230 V AC per IEC 60947-2, and 15 kA at 60 V DC per the same standard. For UL 1077 applications, the interrupting rating is 5 kA.
The D-curve (tripping characteristic class D) means this MCB is built for high inrush loads — motors, transformers, welding equipment — where the starting current can briefly exceed 10× the rated current. The 15 kA DC rating at 60 V covers DC control circuits or battery-backed loads.
The 2-module width (36 mm) occupies two standard 18 mm slots. The neutral conductor is switched internally — no separate neutral bar required for the protected circuit.
Environmental and mechanical limits
Ambient temperature range is -40 °C to +75 °C, with derating above 55 °C: max 95% humidity at 55 °C, 55% at 70 °C, 35% at 75 °C. Vibration resistance per IEC 60068-2-6: ±1 mm at 5 to 25 Hz, 50 m/s² at 25 to 150 Hz.
