The C-curve magnetic trip operates at 5-10× rated current, so it holds through the 50-100 ms magnetizing inrush of a small transformer while still clearing a hard short.
Breaking capacity and application context
At DC per the same standard it is 15 kA, and under UL 1077 / CSA C22.2 No. 235 it is 5 kA. The UL/CSA figure is lower because those standards test at a different fault profile; if the panel requires UL 1077 listing, the 5 kA rating governs the maximum available fault current at the breaker's line side.
The quick-assembly fastening system snaps onto the rail without tools and releases via a screwdriver slot.
Thermal performance and derating
Rated 0.3 A at 45 °C ambient. At 50 °C the continuous current derates to 0.29 A, and at 55 °C to 0.28 A. The breaker can operate in ambient up to 75 °C, but humidity must be controlled — max 95 % RH at 55 °C, dropping to 35 % at 75 °C. Minimum ambient is -40 °C, so it handles cold storage or unheated enclosures. The thermal-magnetic element is sealed and halogen-free, silicon-free — no outgassing concerns in clean-room or sealed-panel applications.
