What the 50 A and 1P+N mean for your panel
The 5TT5550-0CC is a SENTRON OUPA overvoltage undervoltage fused switch — a single-pole-plus-neutral device rated 50 A at 230 V AC. The 1 normally open contact switches the line; the neutral pole is switched as well, giving full isolation on both conductors for the protected circuit. 50 A is the operational current at AC — this is the continuous current the switch can carry under normal load, not a momentary or inrush rating. For motor or transformer loads, factor in the starting current; the switch is designed for overvoltage and undervoltage protection, not as a motor starter.
Panel fit and protection class
The housing is 36 mm wide, occupying 2 modular width units on a DIN rail. IP20 protection means it is touch-safe from the front but not sealed against dust ingress — install inside an enclosure with a minimum IP54 door if the panel sees washdown or outdoor exposure. Rated for 230 V AC only — the minimum and maximum operating voltage are both 230 V, so this is a fixed-voltage device. Do not apply on 400 V line-to-line or DC circuits; the internal coil and arc chamber are sized for AC 230 V.
