What it is and what it does
The Siemens 5TT5740-0 is a SENTRON Insta contactor carrying 4 normally-open (NO) main contacts, rated for 40 A at 230 V AC operating voltage. The coil accepts both AC (230 V) and DC (220 V) actuation, which simplifies panel wiring when a single control supply must drive contactors on mixed-voltage circuits.
Panel integration and mounting
Snap-on DIN rail mounting per EN 60715. The 54 mm width (3 width units) and 71 mm depth fit standard 160 mm deep enclosures. Installation depth of 64 mm leaves clearance behind the panel door for wiring ducts and terminal blocks.
