63 A, 4 NO — the panel space constraint
The Siemens 5TT5850-6 is a SENTRON insta contactor with 4 normally-open (NO) main contacts and zero NC contacts — it's a make-only switching block, not a changeover device. At 54 mm wide and 71 mm deep, it fits standard 3-module cutouts in distribution boards, but the installation note requires spacers for heat dissipation — pack them tight and the 8 W per-pole loss at rated current cooks the adjacent devices if airflow is blocked.
Coil voltage and contact configuration
Coil voltage is 230 V AC — no DC or dual-voltage option on this variant. The 4 NO contacts are rated for 63 A continuous in AC-1 duty (resistive load), with a maximum switching voltage of 440 V. For incandescent lamp loads, the switching capacity is 5 000 W. The IP20 finger-safe enclosure means it's suitable for enclosed panels only — not for washdown or outdoor mounting without an additional enclosure. The 0 mm installation depth figure indicates it sits flush on the DIN rail with no rear overhang.
Active production, sourced per RFQ
The SENTRON series supports supplementary devices (auxiliary contact blocks, shunt trips) that snap onto the contactor side. Confirm the BOM position count and the mating half before committing the order.
