What it is and what it does
The Siemens 6AG1052-1FB08-7BA2 is a SIPLUS LOGO! 230RCE logic module with integrated display, based on the standard 230RCE platform but factory-fitted with conformal coating and extended temperature range from -25 to +60 °C startup capability down to -20 °C. It operates from a 115 V or 230 V AC/DC supply and provides 8 digital inputs and 4 relay outputs. The onboard memory handles 400 blocks, and Ethernet connectivity includes an integrated web server, data logging, user-defined web pages, and MQTT support for cloud or IoT integration.
Why the conformal coating matters
The conformal coating on this SIPLUS variant protects the electronics against humidity, dust, and corrosive atmospheres, making the module suitable for panels in food & beverage, wastewater, or outdoor enclosures where standard LOGO! units would risk premature failure. The extended temperature range (-25 to +60 °C, with -20 °C startup) covers both freezer and hot-floor installations, removing the need for conditioned enclosures in many sites.
