What it is: rugged LOGO! for dirty, hot, or cold cabinets
The Siemens 6AG1052-1HB00-7BA8 is a SIPLUS version of the standard LOGO! 24RCE (6ED1052-1HB00-0BA8), factory-fitted with conformal coating and rated for -40 to 70°C ambient, with cold start at -20°C. The display is usable down to 0°C and up to 55°C; outside that range it may be slow or hard to read, but the module keeps running and recovers when temperature returns to normal. At -40°C you rely on remote access or datalog, not the local screen.
Wiring and protection notes
Short-circuit protection is not built in; external fusing necessary. Relay outputs handle 10 A resistive or 3 A inductive max. Mounts on 35 mm DIN rail (4 spacing units) and is rated for up to 70°C with 8 digital inputs. Resistant to commercially available coolants and lubricants including diesel and oil droplets — a practical choice for machine-tool or engine-test stands where standard controllers would need a sealed enclosure.
What you won't find on the spec sheet
The 480-hour power reserve means the program and real-time clock survive a weekend-plus power outage without a battery. Ethernet with built-in web server and datalogging allows remote monitoring without an extra gateway.
