The Siemens 6AG1052-1MD08-7BA0 is a SIPLUS version of the LOGO! 12/24RCE — a logic module with conformal coating rated from -40 °C to 70 °C, startup down to -20 °C. It runs on 12/24 V DC, brings 8 digital inputs (4 usable as 0-10 V analog inputs) and 4 relay outputs (resistive load up to 10 A, inductive to 3 A), and stores up to 400 function blocks. This variant is now officially obsolete.
Key Ratings & Fit
The -40 °C to 70 °C ambient range includes cold-start capability at -20 °C (condensation permitted at that temperature, but no commissioning under condensation). For reference, the display legibility may degrade outside 0…55 °C, but the module itself runs across the full span. Relay outputs handle 10 A resistive and 3 A inductive — plenty for small motor contactors or solenoid valves inside a cabinet. External fusing is required; no short-circuit protection on board. The enclosure is IP20, mounts on 35 mm DIN rail, 4 spacing units wide (71.5 mm wide, 90 mm tall, 60 mm deep). Power reserve of 480 h keeps the clock and program retention during a power interruption.
Built for Harsh Environments
Installation altitude goes to 5 000 m with derating above 2 000 m (temperature drops 10 K at 3 500 m, 20 K at 5 000 m). The part also carries Limit Class B for residential-area emissions, so it passes EMC if you ever need to debug in a lab.
