What this SIPLUS module brings to a panel
This is the SIPLUS version of the LOGO! DM8 24 expansion module — order code 6AG1055-1CB00-7BA2 — built for environments where a standard LOGO! module won't last. It carries a conformal coating (IPC-CC-830A Class A) and is rated for -40 to +70 °C ambient, with cold start down to -25 °C. That coating and temperature range make it a fit for outdoor cabinets, refrigerated areas, or any panel where condensation, coolant mist, or salt spray is a given. Inputs see a 1.5 ms max switching time; outputs handle 0.3 A continuous per channel, resistive load switching up to 10 Hz.
Harsh-environment protection, not just a wider temperature band
The conformal coating is the key differentiator here — it's not just a -40 to +70 °C part. The module is tested to ANSI/ISA-71.04 Level GX Group A/B for corrosive gas, Level LC3 for salt spray, and Level LB3 for oil. It also resists commercially available coolants and lubricants, including diesel and oil droplets in the air. That means it can sit in a compressor skid or a washdown zone without the board trace corrosion you'd see on an uncoated LOGO! module within a year. IP20 rated at the housing — the coating protects the board, not the terminals. The module is designed for installation in an enclosure that provides the environmental seal. Derating applies above 2,000 m altitude: above that, the max ambient temperature drops 10 K up to 3,500 m and 20 K up to 5,000 m.
