What it is and where it runs
The Siemens 6AG1055-1PB00-2XB0 is a SIPLUS variant of the LOGO! DM8 digital module, designed for environments that push beyond standard temperature bounds. With a rated range of -25 °C to +70 °C (derated to 55 °C under UL/cUL listing), it handles cold storage, freezer floors, and unconditioned enclosures where a standard module might drop out. Four DC inputs and four transistor outputs on a 24 V supply give it the same function as the base 6ED1055-1CB00-0BA0, but the SIPLUS coating and wider temperature tolerance make it the go-to spare for cold-chain and outdoor cabinet applications.
DIN rail fit and temperature derating
The module sits on 35 mm DIN rail and occupies just 2 spacing units (36 mm wide), leaving room in crowded panels. Depth is 55 mm, height 90 mm. The IP20 front protection keeps tools and fingers out but expects enclosure protection against moisture. Input voltage range is 10.8 to 28.8 V DC, narrowing to 11-27.5 V above 55 °C — a detail to note when the ambient runs hot, such as near cabinet-top drives. Outputs are rated 0.3 A per channel, with a short-term boost to 0.3 A for under 15 s at >55 °C; sustained load above 55 °C is limited to 0.2 A per channel. Use the higher derating when UL/cUL is the governing standard.
