The Siemens 6AG1128-3KB06-4AX1 is a SIPLUS HMI panel built for unheated cabinets and field-floor conditions. It runs PROFINET with DCP, MRP, DHCP, LLDP, and SNMP — so it drops into a Siemens automation network without a separate gateway. The -20 to 60 °C range means it can sit in a not-quite-climate-controlled enclosure and still keep working. Physical buttons, sliders, and a buzzer give operators a tactile interface — no touchscreen that skips under gloves. The aluminum faceplate and IP20 rear mean it mounts into a panel cutout and handles washdowns or dust on the front.
Comms and configuration
PROFINET with DCP for device naming and MRP for media redundancy — both switched on by default. No extra configuration tooling needed for a standard Siemens network; the panel picks up its name from the controller. DHCP and LLDP are available if you want to assign addresses over the network instead of static. JavaScript enables custom screen logic right on the panel. Bar graphs, I/O fields, alarm views, and libraries are built in — no extra scripting runtime to license. The rear is IP20, so it's designed for a clean panel interior. No potting or extra sealing needed for standard industrial environments.
