Input thresholds and wiring compatibility

The module supports 2-wire sensors natively. Three-wire connections work with the same BU type A0 base unit; four-wire sensors need the additional potential distributor module alongside BU type A0.

Diagnostics and parameterization

Module-wide wire-break and short-circuit detection is built in. A diagnostic alarm fires when a fault is detected. The module is parameterizable, meaning you can enable or suppress diagnostics per the application needs. I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) is supported for asset identification in larger plants. Input filter times are configurable from 0.05 ms to 20 ms (both rise and fall). Use the slower end in noisy environments to debounce; stay at the fast edge for high-speed sensor signals where the maximum cable length still supports it.

Mounting and base unit selection

Physical footprint: 15 mm wide, 73 mm high, 58 mm deep. The base unit supports automatic encoding, eliminating addressing dip switches. No firmware update capability; field replacement is a mechanical swap with the same base unit.
