Siemens 6AG1131-6BH01-7BA0 is a 16-channel digital input module rated 24 VDC with per-channel wire-break diagnostics. It is a current-production part — no last-time-buy constraints. Inputs occupy 2 bytes in the process image plus 2 bytes for quality information (QI). Voltage thresholds are -30 to +5 V for signal '0' and +11 to +30 V for signal '1', with a typical draw of 2.5 mA per channel at 24 VDC. The module supports 2-wire sensors, parameterizable input delays (0.05 ms to 20 ms), and accepts cables up to 1 000 m shielded or 600 m unshielded. Each channel can be individually diagnosed for wire breaks using an optional 25–45 kΩ pull-up circuit.
