What it is and what it does
The Siemens 6AG1131-6TF00-7CA0 is an 8-channel digital input module for 8.2 V DC NAMUR sensors. It reports wire-break and short-circuit per channel. Signal thresholds: a logic 0 sits between 0.35 and 1.2 mA, logic 1 typically draws 8 mA. This matches NAMUR proximity pickups used in hazardous-area or harsh-environment installations. Diagnostics cover wire-break, short-circuit, and a group error LED. You can also enable channel-by-channel diagnostic alarms and hardware interrupts, plus pulse extension up to 2 s for fluttery mechanical contacts.
Integration notes
Mounts on BU type A0 base units; dimensions 15 mm wide × 73 mm high × 58 mm deep. Isolation tested at 707 V DC type test. Power draw is 1.5 W typical from the backplane. No isochronous mode; no MSI or counter function.
