Conformal-coated relay output for harsh environments
The Siemens 6AG1132-4HB12-2AB0 is a SIPLUS ET 200S digital output module with two relay outputs, each rated for 5 A continuous at up to 230 V AC or 24-48 V DC, powered from the backplane bus at 24 V DC.
The two relay outputs switch up to 5 A resistive load at 2 Hz maximum, or 0.5 Hz with inductive loads — the relay contact rating, not the electronics, governs the switching life. Each output can control a digital input directly, or drive small contactors and solenoids within the 5 A ceiling. The module draws a maximum of 30 mA from the load voltage supply (unloaded) and 10 mA from the backplane bus, so it adds minimal heat to a densely packed ET 200S slice — typical power loss is 0.6 W. Width is 15 mm, depth 52 mm, height 81 mm, matching the standard ET 200S form factor. It snaps onto the DIN rail and connects via the backplane bus connector — no additional wiring for the bus.
Harsh environment compliance
The conformal coating and extended temperature range are backed by environmental qualification covering gas exposure (GX class, group A/B), salt spray (LC3), and oil (LB3). The module operates at altitudes up to 2 000 m, with shielded cable runs up to 1 000 m and unshielded up to 600 m. The relay outputs include reverse polarity protection and substitute value capability on CPU stop.
