4-channel PNP output slice for ET 200SP, SIPLUS rated
The Siemens 6AG1132-6BD20-7BA0 is a SIPLUS ET 200SP digital output module offering 4 source (PNP) outputs, each rated at 2 A for signal '1'. It fits a 15 mm slice on a BU type A0 BaseUnit, drawing about 1 W from the backplane bus. Key diagnostics include wire-break detection per channel, group error reporting, short-circuit protection with a response threshold of 2.8 to 5.2 A, and supply-voltage monitoring. This makes it suited for maintaining batch traceability in a brewery or distillery where a lost feedback loop from a valve or pump could break a CIP cycle.
Extended temperature range with condensation tolerance
Unlike the standard ET 200SP digital output module, this SIPLUS variant operates from -40 °C to 70 °C in horizontal installation (vertical limited to 50 °C) and is explicitly rated for condensation and frost environments. A valuable spec for a brewmaster's grain receival pit or a cold-storage fermentation hall where moisture hangs in the air and standard electronics may fail.
Current derating above 60 °C — plan your thermal headroom
Above 60 °C the number of simultaneously controllable outputs is reduced: either 2 x 0.25 A or 4 x 0.125 A, with a total current cap of 0.5 A. At lower temperatures full 2 A per channel is available, but if the cabinet sees warm surfaces from neighbouring drives, use the derated values for your load calculations.
Integration note on switching frequencies and cable lengths
Maximum resistive load switching frequency is 100 Hz; inductive loads are limited to 2 Hz. For incandescent lamp loads it's 10 Hz. Cable run: shielded up to 1 000 m, unshielded 200 m. Verified 0-to-1 transition within 50 µs, 1-to-0 within 100 µs. Isolation tested at 707 V DC between circuits (75 V DC / 60 V AC between different circuits).
