Module overview
The 6AG1132-6BF00-7CA0 is a current-production SIPLUS S7-1500 digital output module with four source (PNP) outputs, rated 24 V DC and 4 A total for the module. Each channel delivers up to 4 A at up to 60 °C, with a typical response time of 50 µs on and 100 µs off. Diagnostic capabilities per channel include wire-break detection (response threshold 0.7 to 1.3 A) and short-circuit protection, with a dedicated red LED per channel. A green/red DIAG LED provides module-level status. Firmware version V1.2 is field-upgradeable, and the module supports isochronous mode and I&M data (I&M0 to I&M3) for asset tracking.
Mounting and integration
For panels originally specified with the 6AG1123-2DB03-2AX0 digital input module, the mechanical footprint and BaseUnit are identical, so this output module fits the same slot. However, wiring differs because the output module requires load supply connections and outputs are current-sourcing (PNP) rather than inputs. The channel assignment and terminal plan change accordingly.
Fault isolation and diagnostics
Channel-by-channel diagnostics flag wire-break and short-circuit conditions via red LEDs and the diagnostic alarm. The module supports group error reporting. Maximum cable length is 1 000 m shielded or 600 m unshielded. For lamp loads, the maximum switching frequency is 10 Hz. The module is current-sourcing only (no current-sinking).
