What it is
Siemens 6AG1134-6PA00-7BD0 is a SIPLUS S7-1200 analog input module dedicated to electrical energy measurement — voltage, current, frequency, active and reactive power, all with ±1% accuracy. It's the module for submetering or power-quality monitoring inside a SIMATIC rack. Power for the module comes directly from the voltage measurement channel L1, so no separate 24 VDC supply is needed — just the 100-240 VAC line being measured. That simplifies wiring in retrofit panels.
Mounting and environment
Width is 20 mm, depth 58 mm — it takes one base unit slot (BU type D0). Horizontal mounting (standard) lets the module run up to 70 °C ambient; above 60 °C, limit load current to 1 A per phase. Vertical installation caps at 50 °C. Cold start from -40 °C is fine, but below -25 °C the supply voltage must be at least 110 V AC.
What you get out of it
Parameter length per module is 44 bytes (32 input, 12 output). Supports cyclic and acyclic measurement, diagnostic and channel alarms. I&M data included. No isochronous mode — this is for monitoring, not motion control. One thing to note: zero-point suppression is set at 50 mA, meaning currents below that threshold are reported as zero — fine for submetering but if you need to log micro-loads, account for that floor. Voltage measurement handles sinusoidal or distorted waveforms from 45 to 65 Hz. Accuracy for power, current, and voltage is ±1.0%.
