The 6AG1136-6AB00-2CA1: This is a current-production SIPLUS analog input module for the Siemens ET 200SP distributed I/O system. It takes one slice in the base unit (BU type A0 or A1) and runs on 24 V DC with a minimum tolerance of L+ minus 1.5 V. The module provides 14 bytes of input data and 5 bytes of output data, mapped to work with S7-300/400F safety CPUs. It uses a sigma-delta measurement principle and supports integration times from 1x to 64x oversampling cycles. Power draw is 2 W typical. On the status side, you get a green RUN LED, red ERROR and channel diagnostic LEDs, plus a green/yellow module diagnostics LED. The module includes wire-break detection, diagnostic alarms, and firmware update capability over the backplane.
Sourcing and lifecycle
If you are sourcing this against a BOM line, the standard counterpart is the 6ES7136-6AB00-0CA1. The SIPLUS variant adds extended temperature range and conformal coating for harsh environments. Both use the same base units, so a swap in the field for a standard unit is possible if the environmental rating isn't required.
Safety and diagnostics
Rated SIL 3. No module-specific interrupt (MSI) simplifies safety integration. Diagnostic coverage includes per-channel status LEDs, a module diagnostic LED, and a diagnostic alarm that signals wire breaks and other faults. The maximum encoder/sensor supply current is 300 mA total across all channels.
