The 6AG1153-1AA03-2XB0: Power draw is 350 mA at 24 VDC typical with a 3 W loss, and it delivers 90 mA on the interface output for bus-powered slaves. Backplane current from the 5 V bus runs up to 1 A. Two specs that matter for the panel: the I2t rating of 0.1 A²·s guides upstream fuse selection — treat it as a very small let-through, so a quick-blow 1 A fuse can protect the bus without nuisance trips. The module also survives a 5 ms mains drop without losing state. When the bus comes back from a power loss, it recovers with min. cold restart at -25 °C — fine for most climate-controlled racks.
For compliance documentation: the evidence doesn't list RoHS/REACH/UL certificates, but as a current Siemens catalog item the standard declarations can be pulled from the SIOS database or your rep. The module is isolated at 500 V, so it meets basic galvanic isolation for the bus segment.
DIN Rail Mount, 40 mm Width
The module clips onto DIN rail at 40 mm wide and 125 mm deep. The 9-pin sub-D socket faces the cable entry — plan for cable bend radius below the rail. Addresses 1 to 125 are settable, and baud rate is auto-detected.
