PROFINET interface for ET 200AL – IRT and integrated switch
The 6AG1155-6AA01-7BN0: Network loading class 2 and prioritised startup are on board; media redundancy (MRP) is supported for ring topologies. The interface handles I&M data 0–3, SNMP, LLDP, and shared device operation, giving a controls integrator full diagnostic reach without extra gateways.
I²t and inrush – supply coordination point
The module draws a typical 1.9 W at 24 V DC, but the inrush current hits a peak of 3.7 A and carries an I²t of 0.09 A²·s. That energy number matters when sizing the upstream 24 V supply – a small power supply with foldback current limiting can trip on that inrush if the I²t exceeds the supply's dynamic response. For a cabinet with multiple IM 155s, sum the I²t and verify the supply's inrush headroom; the 3.7 A peak lasts only milliseconds but a weakly buffered supply may drop out.
