Harsh environment qualification — what it actually means
Certified to ANSI/ISA-71.04 class GX for corrosive gas exposure (excluding trichlorethylene), plus level LC3 salt spray and LB3 oil resistance. That means it survives in chemical processing zones, offshore platforms, and machine-tool coolant mist — environments where a standard terminal module would see contact corrosion within months. Altitude derating is specified: full temperature range at 1 140 to 795 hPa (-1 000 to +2 000 m), then a 10 K reduction up to 3 500 m, and a 20 K reduction up to 5 000 m. If your panel sits at 3 000 m, budget for a 70 °C ceiling dropping to 60 °C.
Physical fit — panel integration
30 mm wide, 157 mm tall, 43 mm deep — snaps onto the standard ET 200S DIN-rail mounting rail. The spring-loaded terminals accept 4x6 connections with access to AUX1 and AUX1 continuous, which means you can daisy-chain the auxiliary bus without extra jumpers.
