Environmental resilience and coating
The conformal coating (Class A per IPC-CC-830A) protects the PCB assembly against condensation, frost, and fouling (Type 1 protection per EN 60664-3), making this BusAdapter suitable for installation where standard electronics would fail from moisture or conductive contamination. It is resistant to commercially available coolants and lubricants, including diesel and oil droplets in the air, and meets ANSI/ISA-71.04 environmental conditions for process control systems at Level GX group A/B (excluding trichlorethylene), Level LC3 (salt spray), and Level LB3 (oil).
Installation constraints and derating
The maximum installation altitude is 5,000 m above sea level, with temperature derating applied above 2,000 m: the maximum ambient temperature reduces by 10 K between 2,000 m and 3,500 m, and by 20 K between 3,500 m and 5,000 m, at the corresponding barometric pressures. Physical dimensions are 20 mm width, 69.5 mm height, and 59 mm depth, fitting the standard ET 200SP form factor for DIN-rail mounting in a control cabinet.
