The 6AG1193-6BP20-7BB0 is a SIPLUS ET 200SP base unit (BU type B0) with conformal coating, based on the standard 6ES7193-6BP20-0BB0. It provides the mechanical and electrical interface between the backplane bus and up to one I/O module in the ET 200SP distributed I/O system. The conformal coating protects against condensation, fouling (EN 60664-3 Type 1), and exposure to coolants, lubricants, diesel, and oil droplets in the air. This makes it a fit for food-and-bev washdown, chemical processing, and outdoor installations where standard electronics would fail from moisture or airborne contaminants.
The base unit carries auxiliary terminal ratings: 230 V / 110 V AC and 24 V DC, with a maximum current of 10 A up to 60 °C. The 10 A figure is the total current that can pass through the AUX terminals to power downstream modules or field devices — it is not per-channel. Above 60 °C, derating applies. Isolation tested at 3,250 V DC between the backplane bus and supply voltage, giving confidence in galvanic separation for safety circuits. The horizontal figure carries a Tmax label, meaning the 70 °C limit governs when the unit is mounted flat. At altitudes above 2,000 m up to 3,000 m, the ambient temperature must be derated by 5 K. This matters for panel builders in high-altitude plants or enclosed cabinets with limited airflow.
