The 6AG1193-6BP40-7BA1 is a SIPLUS ET 200SP base unit (BU type A1) that provides the mechanical and electrical connection between the backplane bus and the I/O module plugged into its single slot. It carries the 24 V DC supply rail and the backplane bus signals to the module, and includes two sets of five add-on terminals bridged to the left for field wiring.

Conformal coating and extended temperature range

The coating protects the PCB assembly against condensation, frost, and exposure to commercially available coolants, lubricants, diesel, and oil droplets in the air. The conformal coating qualifies the assembly for environments with corrosive gas concentrations up to EN 60721-3-3 class 3C4, salt spray level LC3, and oil level LB3.

Internal temperature compensation is built in, and the isolation between backplane bus and supply voltage is tested at 707 V DC. The base unit includes Type 1 protection against fouling per EN 60664-3.
