It integrates 1 Mbyte of load memory (expandable via Siemens Memory Card) and supports programming in LAD and FBD. The PROFINET interface (Ethernet, TCP/IP) enables connection to distributed I/O and HMIs. Supply voltage is 24 V DC, permissible range 20.4 V to 28.8 V.

Dimensions are 90 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 75 mm deep. The 24 V DC supply must be isolated; a 240 h typical backup time retains the program and data in the integral EEPROM during power loss. All digital inputs and outputs are on removable connectors for panel wiring.
