CPU for harsh environments
The Siemens 6AG1211-1BD30-4XB0 is a SIPLUS variant of the S7-1200 compact CPU, rated for a -40 °C to 70 °C operating range. It integrates 1 Mbyte of load memory (expandable via Siemens Memory Card) and supports programming in LAD and FBD. The PROFINET interface (Ethernet, TCP/IP) enables connection to distributed I/O and HMIs. Supply voltage is 24 V DC, permissible range 20.4 V to 28.8 V.
Integration and mounting
Dimensions are 90 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 75 mm deep. The CPU mounts on a standard DIN rail and requires clearance for the PROFINET connector and memory card slot. The 24 V DC supply must be isolated; a 240 h typical backup time retains the program and data in the integral EEPROM during power loss. All digital inputs and outputs are on removable connectors for panel wiring.
Programming and communication
Supported programming languages are LAD and FBD; the PROFINET interface acts as a server with autocrossing, but no PROFIBUS, MODBUS, or AS-Interface is built in. The CPU can address 1 024 byte of inputs and 1 024 byte of outputs and includes 4 kbyte of bit memory, with forcing and EEPROM storage supported.
