What This Part Is
SIPLUS S7-1200 CPU 1211C, order 6AG1211-1HD30-4XB0, built for extended ambient conditions: rated –40 °C to 70 °C. Runs on 24 V DC (20.4 V to 28.8 V permissible). PROGRAMMING in FBD and LAD, no MODBUS or PROFIBUS onboard – only PROFINET with TCP/IP. Integrated 1 Mbyte load memory, expandable via SIEMENS Memory Card. Backup time 240 h typical for the real-time clock.
Why the Wide Temperature Range Matters
This is the SIPLUS variant – the same logic as the standard 6ES7211-1HE31-0XB0 CPU 1211C, but with its temperature range stretched from the usual 0 °C... 55 °C to –40 °C... 70 °C. If your panel sits in a conditioned room, the standard CPU is cheaper and identical in wiring and software. But for outdoor cabinets, unheated enclosures, or frozen-food plants, the SIPLUS version avoids early failure from cold startup or heat soak. Physically the same 90 x 100 x 75 mm block, same PROFINET port, same 24 V supply – a direct swap for any 6ES7211-1HE31-0XB0 location as long as the environment demands it.
I/O and Communication Profile
Onboard I/O addressing: 1 024 bytes each for inputs and outputs. No discrete I/O on this CPU – it is a pure logic controller relying on expansion modules. The PROFINET interface supports TCP/IP only; no MODBUS or PROFIBUS. Suitable for Ethernet-based networks without legacy fieldbuses. The CPU supports forcing and online variables monitoring (inputs/outputs, memory bits, DBs, timers, counters). Power supply draws from the 24 V DC bus; no built-in power supply for expansion bus – external 24 V needed for modules.
