Rated for the nacelle
The Siemens 6AG1212-1AE31-2XB0 is a SIPLUS S7-1200 CPU rated for -40 °C to 70 °C — it survives the nacelle temperature swing while standard units brown out. With FBD, LAD, and SCL support, you reuse existing turbine logic without recompiling. PID controller onboard means pitch or yaw loops stay local, no SCADA round-trip. Communication covers the wind farm backbone: PROFINET on the interface, MODBUS TCP/IP for upstream RTUs, and PROFIBUS for legacy field devices. UDP support lifts real-time datagrams for condition monitoring. Power supply tolerates 20.4 to 28.8 VDC, so unregulated turbine battery buses won't trip the monitor. Backup time of 480 h typical keeps program state through weekend site outages—no up-tower swaps needed.
Mounting and physical interface
Dimensions: 90 x 100 x 75 mm (WxHxD). DIN-rail compatible. Inputs handle 2-wire sensor signals: '0' at 5 V DC at 1 mA, '1' at 15 V DC at 2.5 mA. Inputs/outputs memory: 1 024 byte each. Autonegotiation and autocrossing on the PROFINET port save panel-builder rework — no cross-cable needed for direct PC connection.
Sourcing this order code
This SIPLUS variant is spec'd into wind OEM BOMs for its extended range. When you confirm fit (I/O load and bus configuration), submit an RFQ — we quote to your schedule and quantity.
