PROFINET connected, ruggedized for thermal extremes
The 6AG1212-1BD30-4XB0 is a SIPLUS variant of the Siemens S7-1200 CPU, built for a -40 to 70°C operating range and a 20.4 to 28.8 V DC supply. It supports LAD, FBD, and SCL programming languages and communicates via PROFINET (no Modbus or PROFIBUS). Integrated 1 MB work memory and a typical 240 h backup for the real-time clock mean program and RTC data persist through extended power-offs. The process image is 1 024 bytes each for inputs and outputs.
Memory, compliance, and sourcing
Rated for cULus, UL, and CE mark, this CPU carries the approvals expected for a global panel build. This is a specified BOM component; we source it to order against an RFQ. Given the ruggedized rating, it is often used on lines where the standard S7-1200 temperature range (-20 to 60°C) falls short.
Mounting dimensions and connection notes
Width 90 mm, height 100 mm, depth 75 mm — fits the standard S7-1200 footprint. DIN-rail mount, same profile as the basic CPUs. PROFINET interface with autonegotiation and autocrossing (MDI/MDIX). No fieldbus expansion available (AS-Interface, PROFIBUS not supported onboard). Ethernet connection is TCP/IP. Forcing and full program upload/download supported. Remanent data uses the integral EEPROM for maintenance-free retention.
