CPU for harsh environments
The Siemens 6AG1212-1HE40-4XB0 is a SIPLUS version of the S7-1200 CPU, rated for -40 to 70°C ambient temperature, 24 V DC supply. Integrates 1 Mbyte work memory, PROFINET interface with two-port switch, and support for MODBUS TCP, PROFIBUS (via CM 1243-5), AS-Interface, and web server. Programs in FBD, LAD, SCL, and STL. PID controller onboard, forcing and shared device supported. Backup time 480 h typical.
Panel installation
DIN-rail mount, 90 × 100 × 75 mm (W × H × D). Terminal block accepts 0.2–2.5 mm² wire, spring-cage. Power supply: 24 V DC, L+ minus 4 V DC min. PROFINET ports autocrossing; shield clamp for foil-shielded cable up to 100 m. PROFIBUS connection requires the external CM 1243-5 module occupying the left-side slot. AS-Interface master on board. Memory backup 480 h typical; retain DBs and retentive bits across power loss.
