The Siemens 6AG1214-1HG40-4XB0 is a SIPLUS S7-1200 CPU 1214C designed for extended ambient temperature operation from -40 °C to 70 °C. It runs on 24 V DC and comes with an integrated PROFINET interface that supports Modbus TCP as client or server. Programming can be done in FBD, LAD, or SCL — all three IEC languages are available without additional licenses.
Integration and mounting
Dimensions are 110 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 75 mm deep — standard S7-1200 footprint that fits on standard DIN rail. The backplane power is drawn from the 24 V DC supply; no separate load supply needed for the CPU itself. For PROFIBUS connectivity, the optional CM 1243-5 module is required. The integrated 4 Mbyte load memory supports large projects, and the backup time of 480 h typical retains the program without power.
