Commissioning note
The 6AG1214-2AD23-2XB0 is a Siplus S7-200 CPU 224XP powered at 24 V DC with a permissible range of 15.4 to 28.8 V. It integrates 14 digital inputs (six interrupt-capable, four configurable as 200 kHz high-speed counters plus two at 30 kHz) and 10 digital outputs (two pulse-train outputs with 0.5 µs rise time). The on-board RS-485 port supports MPI and PPI at 19.2/187.5 kbit/s.
Programming language support
FBD, LAD, and STL are supported. The command set includes bit logic, integer and floating-point math, timers (1 ms to 54 min), counters, and communication instructions.
Supply and communication interface
The 24 V DC supply draws up to 3.75 A. The RS-485 interface supports shielded runs up to 500 m and unshielded up to 150 m. PPI protocol handles programming and HMI; MPI allows data exchange with MPI masters. Backup via capacitor (100 h min. at 40 °C) or optional battery (200 days typ.) retains DB values and retentive data.
I/O characteristics and wiring
Inputs are source/sink configurable per group; signal '1' threshold is min. 15 V (min. 4 V on I0.3–I0.5 for high-speed). Outputs: standard switching takes 15 µs rising, 130 µs falling; pulse outputs (Q0.0–Q0.1) switch in 0.5 µs/1.5 µs. On lamp load, max 5 W per output.
