The Siemens 6AG1214-2BD23-2XB0 is a SIPLUS S7-200 CPU that accepts both 100-230 V AC and 24 V DC supply, with the DC input tolerating 20.4 V to 28.8 V. That makes it flexible for panels with either line voltage or a dedicated 24 V bus. Program memory is held in integral EEPROM (no battery needed for program), with current DB values and retentive data buffered by a high-performance capacitor, optionally extended to 200 days with a battery module. Communication over MPI and PPI at up to 187.5 kbit/s connects to operator panels and other CPUs. The RS-485 port is integrated, and shielded runs reach 500 m.
Panel Fit & Integration
Dimensions are 140 mm wide, 80 mm high, and 62 mm deep — a standard footprint for this CPU family. The power loss is 11 W, so no special cooling is needed for ordinary enclosures. Outputs switch on and off in 10 ms typical, and the lamp load rating is 200 W AC or 30 W DC. Inputs can be configured as source or sink per group, and two-wire sensors are supported.
