The 6AG1215-1HG31-4XB0 is a SIPLUS variant of the Siemens S7-1200 CPU 1215C, designed for extended ambient temperature and harsh environments. It operates from -40 °C to +70 °C, making it a candidate for outdoor enclosures, cold stores, or plant areas without climate control. This CPU supports the full TIA Portal programming suite with FBD, LAD, and SCL languages, so it integrates into existing S7-1200 projects without rework. It includes 4 Mbyte program memory, 1 024 byte input and output image each, and 480 h backup time.
Networking and fieldbus
The CPU carries a PROFINET interface with autocrossing and autonegotiation, plus support for PROFIBUS (as client and server), MODBUS TCP, AS-Interface, and Ethernet UDP. That covers most mixed-vendor line integrations, but PROFIsafe is not supported – safety tasks require a separate F-CPU.
