This Siemens 6AG1215-1HG31-5XB0 is a S7-1200 CPU rated for operation from -40 to 70 °C, making it suitable for unheated cabinets, freezer environments, or outdoor-adjacent panels where a standard PLC would drift out of spec. It supports LAD, FBD, and SCL programming, so existing S7-1200 code moves over without a language conversion. On the communication side: PROFINET with autocrossing and autonegotiation, plus MODBUS TCP/IP and UDP as client or server, and a separate PROFIBUS port. For auxiliary fieldbus, AS-Interface is on board. The isolated 24 V DC supply and forcing capability simplify commissioning tests without disconnecting outputs.
