What it is and where it fits
The 6AG1221-1BF30-2XB0 is a Siemens SIPLUS digital input module from the ET 200SP family. It gives you 8 electrically isolated inputs, each rated for 24 V DC with a permissible range of 20.4 to 28.8 V. What sets the SIPLUS variant apart is the operating span of -40 to 70 °C — that puts it into cold storage, outdoor cabinets, or near ovens where a standard ET 200SP module would be outside its comfort zone. Expect diagnostic alarms (per-channel and module-level), plus status indication for each input. The module is parameterizable, letting you filter debounce times and set the input delay. It needs a front connector (sold separately) and draws 1.5 W typical from the backplane bus (5 V DC, max 105 mA).
