The Siemens 6AG1222-1HF30-4XB0 is a SIPLUS variant of the S7-1200 digital output module, delivering 8 relay outputs rated 2 A per channel for both resistive and inductive loads. It switches AC loads from 5 V AC to 250 V AC and DC loads from 5 V DC to 30 V DC, covering solenoid valves, contactor coils, and indicator lamps in a control cabinet.
Output ratings and channel isolation
Each relay output handles 2 A continuous on resistive or inductive loads, with a lamp load limit of 30 W on DC and 200 W on AC. The outputs are grouped in pairs with 750 V AC isolation between groups and between circuits, so you can mix load voltages on the same module without coupling faults. The module draws 120 mA from the backplane 5 V DC bus and 11 mA per energized relay coil from the load voltage L+ supply. There is no internal short-circuit protection — an external fuse or breaker per group is required. Transition times from 0→1 and 1→0 are both 10 ms maximum.
Environmental range and approvals
The IP20 enclosure suits clean, dry indoor panel environments. FM approval is listed, and the module carries diagnostic alarm and status indication per channel. Cable runs can reach 500 m shielded or 150 m unshielded.
