What this SIPLUS module brings to your BOM
The 6AG1223-1BL30-4XB0: The IP20 enclosure and plastic housing suit it for clean, dry control cabinets; for wet or dusty installs you’d need an upstream enclosure.
Output current derating — what the numbers really mean
At ambient temperatures up to 40 °C the module can sink 16 A per common rail (the exact figure from the spec sheet). Above 40 °C, the limit drops to 8 A at 50 °C. If your panel runs warm — near a drive or transformer — size the output fuses for the 8 A limit rather than the 16 A headline. The module lacks internal short-circuit protection, so external fusing is mandatory on every output. Input characteristics are standard 24 V DC sinking: logic 1 threshold is 15 V DC at 2.5 mA, logic 0 is 5 V DC at 1 mA, with a 200 µs off-to-on delay and 50 µs on-to-off delay — fast enough for most discrete sensors.
