What it is and where it fits
The 6AG1223-1QH32-2XB0: Inputs accept 79 V AC at 2.5 mA minimum for signal '1', with typical draw of 9 mA; signal '0' threshold is 20 V AC at 1 mA. Response time from 0 to 1 and 1 to 0 is 10 ms maximum. Unshielded cable runs up to 150 m are allowed (500 m shielded). Each of the 8 relay outputs handles up to 2 A on both resistive and inductive loads. Short-circuit protection must be provided externally. Lamp load ratings: 30 W DC, 200 W AC.
Integration notes
Module mounts on the S7-1200 rail alongside the CPU, connecting via the backplane bus. The front connector is ordered separately (required). Diagnostic alarm, parameterization, and status indication are supported — wire the alarm outputs and configure the input debounce in TIA Portal. Power consumption typifies 7.5 W (backplane). Output relay grouping: 8 relay outputs in groups of 4. Within the same group, isolation between channels is relay-type (not galvanic per channel). For groups using mixed voltage levels, plan external fusing per group as short-circuit protection is not built in.
